Washington Society of Interventional Pain Physicians

This organization serves as a societal forum for specialist interventional pain physicians. The mission is several fold:

  • recognition of our specialty with our colleagues, patients and payors
  • improve coverage of procedures by payors
  • compliance
  • political action as necessary to improve patient access to care;
  • education and research through ISIS, PSSIG, ASIPP, NASS and other societies
  • to promote the development and practice of safe, high quality, cost-effective interventional pain medicine techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of pain and related disorders, and to ensure patient access to these interventions
  • provide for easy communication between interventional pain specialists. This includes unified and cooperative dealings with all 3rd parties when those matters may affect our group as a whole.
