Peripheral Nerve Block

An injection around one of the nerve endings or trunks away from the spine. For example, injection of a rib nerve.

Sympathetic Nerve Block

Some kinds of pain are not transmitted by the regular body nerves but by sympathetic nerves. These nerves also control blood vessels, hair follicles, limb temperature, color and sweating. Injection around these nerves is indicated for certain kinds of pain, such as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome or RSD. Stellate ganglion blocks, thoracic sympathetic ganglion blocks, lumbar sympathetic ganglion blocks, and presacral nerve blocks are all examples.

Dr. Jasper is well experienced with all of these types of injections. Please call (253) 564-2009 to schedule an appointment.
