Some types
of pain or spasticity are best treated with direct spinal infusion
of medication. A tunneled spinal catheter and a programmable pump
are implanted if tests indicate this should be performed.

Pain Medicine has stopped providing this service due to poor reimbursement
from Medicare and the financial losses sustained as a result.
While we had a great deal of experience implanting and managing
spinal drug administration systems, we regret we can no longer
