Joseph F. Jasper MD is regarded as an expert in the procedural treatment of many kinds of pain. He provides these procedures in the Medicare certified state-of-the-art West Tacoma Surgery Center. To schedule a consultation call (253) 564-2009.

Dr. Jasper is one of the only doctors in Wahington State certified by the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians and the World Institute of Pain. He completed a three year family practice residency with excellent surgical experience providing him the basis for his current surgical skills. He became certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He then completed an anesthesiology residency with some individual concentration on regional anesthesia its application to chronic pain. He was board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in 1987. While practicing anesthesiology in Tacoma for 10 years his experience and dedication to interventional pain medicine increased. He became certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine in 1995. In 1996 he decided to leave anesthesiology to dedicate full time efforts to interventional pain medicine. He is a member of the International Spinal Injection Society, is on the board of directors of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and is the President and founder of the Washington Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Dr. Jasper has some of the greatest experience of all Washington physicians with spinal injections, provocation discography, IDET, Spinal Cord Stimulation and Spinal Drug administration Systems. He is requested to give lectures to physicians on topics related to interventional pain medicine and pain management. Through examination by international faculty of the World Institute of Pain, he recently joined the ranks of only about 200 other doctors world wide as a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice.
