"Our
goal is to correctly diagnose the painful structure involved and
then specifically treat it."

An
outpatient procedure may help to diagnose or relieve your back pain,
neck pain or sciatica.
If
you have spine pain, disc problems, pinched nerves or spine arthritis,
an injection may work for you.
Pain related to the spine and spinal nerves
affects millions of Americans and often results in disability. While
some patients require surgery, most patients can avoid conventional
surgery. Too many patients are told that there is nothing wrong.
We first consider the patient's history, physical examination, and
radiological studies.
Fluoroscopically guided
spinal injections are key in many
treatment plans. Spinal injections may be required to further refine
the diagnosis, or they may be used to reduce pain and improve function.
Also, spinal injections may be useful in surgical planning.
New
alternatives to conventional disk surgery have arisen.
These are commonly referred to as minimally
invasive disk surgeries. We perform both percutaneous disk decompressions
and Intradiscal Electrothermal Annuloplasty (IDET).
For
arthritic back or neck pain we offer radiofrequency
facet
neurotomies.
We also offer the advanced implantation pain treatment, spinal cord
stimulation. Chronic nerve pain such as sciatica that has resisted
more conservative therapies may be treated with spinal cord stimulation.
